Shirley Hunt Coghill

Shirley Hunt Coghill, 73, of Henderson completed her journey to heaven on July 22, 2023. Shirley was born on December 21, 1949, in Marion, Kentucky to the late Tyler and Sadie Hunt.

Shirley was preceded in death by her son James Bradley Griffin.

She is survived by her husband Mike Coghill, a sister Doris (Randy) Nesbitt of Marion, a nephew Corey (Teresa) Nesbitt of Henshaw, and stepchildren Lori (Todd) Thurman of Owensboro, Niki Stallings of Henderson, and Bryan (Amanda) Coghill of Henderson as well as several step grandchildren, aunts, uncles, and cousins and her dear friend Janie (Jim) Hoehn of Cadiz.

Shirley was a member of Belleview United Methodist Church in Smith Mills. She loved to shop and travel with her friends and family. Shirley worked for St. Mary’s/Ascension St. Vincent for 30 years. She was a Kentucky Wildcat fan and loved to collect and decorate with antiques and primitive decor. Her beautiful smile and laughter will be missed by those who loved her.

Visitation will be held at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson on Tuesday, July 25 from 3-7 pm.

The Reverend Steve Hale will officiate the service at 7 pm.
