Shivey Mccoy Moody

Shivey Mc”Coy” Moody age75 of Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home formerly of St. Charles, KY passed away at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday 02-22-11 at the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY. He was born November 13, 1935 in Indians Mounds, TN to Roy and Mary Georgia Dealawson Moody. He was a farmer and spent most of his working years farming for Terry Brothers Farm on Union Temple Road in St. Charles and he was a member of the Pennyrile Church of Christ. He enjoyed listening to older music such as the Carter Family, Jimmy Rodgers, Hank Snow and Hank Williams. He cherished the time spent with his family and his dog Hoppie. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his ex-wife who was a neighbor and friend, Mary Inez Moody on February 1, 2009, one half-brother Bill Merrick and one half-sister Beulah Bagwell. He is survived by two daughters Betty Rust and her husband Dan of Madisonville and Debbie Malik and her husband Steve of Madisonville, one sister Gladys Parker of Madisonville, five grandchildren, Danielle Almon Of Earlington, KY, Denita Rust of Louisville, KY, Melissa Rust of Madisonville,Tyler Malik and Taylor Malik of Madisonville, one great-grandson Ishmael Almon currently waiting to come home from South Africa, one great-granddaughter Brittany Almon of Madisonville and several nieces and nephews. His funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday 02-25-11 at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington with Dr. John Partlow and Dr. Sean Niestrath officiating. His burial will be in New Salem Cemetery in Nortonville, KY. His visitation will be 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday 02-24-11 at Reid-Walters funeral Home in Earlington, KY and from 11:00 a.m. until the service time Friday at the funeral home. His pallbearers will be his nephews James Scott, James Rust, Terry Goodale, Roger Matheny, Charlie Parker and Curtis Parker.
