Smith Majors, Jr.

Smith Majors, Jr., 86 of Hanson passed away June 16, 2015 at Baptist Health in Madisonville, KY He was born August 18, 1928 to Smith Majors, Sr. and Pearl (Mathis) Majors. He was an U.S. Army and Navy Veteran and he was the City Administrator for the City of Sebree, and a member of American Legion in Sebree. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers; Finis Majors and Ed Majors, 2 sisters; Diane Majors and Agnes Hawkins. He is survived by 2 children: Dennis Majors and his wife Trish of Henderson Sharon Majors of Sebree Adopted daughter: Joyce Stillwell of Sebree 2 step-children: Robbie Meredith Corina Sheets of Sebree 1 brother: Lloyd Majors and his wife Dorothy of Sebree 4 grandchildren 14 great grandchildren 1 step-granddaughter 3 step-great grandchildren Nieces and nephews Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Friday, June 19 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel. Dr. Bob Hardison will officiate. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 PM-8:00 PM Thursday and 11:00 AM until service time Friday at the funeral home. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Worsham Post #40 Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Robbie Meredith, Delbert Sizemore, Mann Davenport, Ozzie O’Nan, Brian Majors and Kenny Meredith. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to American Cancer Society.
