Stephan Ray Haygan

Stephan Ray Haygan passed away February 6, 2024, at Linda E. White Hospice Center in Evansville Indiana.

Stephen was born to Ophelia and Roosevelt Haygan in Henderson, Ky on June 8, 1959.

Stephie Ray, as he was called by his friends and family graduated from Henderson County High School in 1977. He also attended Western Kentucky University. Steve was a lifelong Minnesota Vikings fan as well as an avid Louisville Cardinal men’s basketball fan. He loved family get togethers and cook outs.

Steve worked for Sights Denim for many years, Accuride and Morgantown Plastics. He worked at Morgantown until he was forced to leave due to health issues.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Theodore R. Haygan Jr., Ricky Haygan and John Gant, sister Faye Ann Johnson.

He is survived by his sisters Sonia “Sophie” Knight of Henderson, Kim Jackson of Owensboro, and Tina Whitlow (Mike), Paul Gant (Trish) of Henderson, best friends Robert “Rookie” Johnson and Don Moffet and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to thank Midtown Deaconess ICU 3900 unit for there kindness during this time and Linda White Hospice Center for helping.

A private family service will be held.
