Stephen S. Blackwell

Stephen S. Blackwell, 75, of Corydon, KY passed away on January 23, 2017 at St. Marys. He was born on January 28, 1941 in Evansville, IN. He was a member of Abundant Life Assembly of God, a city police officer for 20 years, and a US Marine Veteran of 24 years. He is preceded in death by his parents Walter Hanson Blackwell and Janice Pearl (Holder) Blackwell, a grandson James Wayne Blackwell, and a sister Virginia Blackwell. He is survived by his wife Rachel Blackwell; 1 son Andrew Blackwell of Henderson; 1 daughter Brooke Blackwell of Henderson; a daughter in law Mikayla Lyon Blackwell; 2 sisters Liz Henson and Nancy Grieder both of CO. Memorial service will be held at Abundant Life Assembly of God on Saturday January 28, 2017 at 3:00PM with Pastor Bill Schwartz officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00PM-service time at the church. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Worsham Post #40 Honor Guard.
