Steve Edward Stanley

Steve Stanley, 57 of Hanson, KY passed away Sunday October 21, 2012 at his home. He was born January 9, 1955 in Fulton, KY Steve was a farmer for 35 years operating Happy Hollow Farms. During this time he also President of the KY Soybean Association, and KY Young Leader of the Soybean Assiciation. He was a commissioner on the State Board of Agriculture and Hopkins County Farmer of the Year in 1988. He also served as 3rd District Magistrate for Hopkins County for 7 years as well a being on the Hopkins County Fair Board and past Fair Manager. After he retired from farming he sold automobiles for 4 years. Steve is survived by his wife; Lisa Stanley of Madisonville, Ky Parents; Emmit and Anita (Shelton) Stanley of Madisonville, KY Daughter; Megan Stanley of Nashville, TN Son; Miles Stanley of Madisonville, KY Granddaughter; Bailey 3 Sisters; Beth Ashby of Jacksonville, FL Dee Dee Dunn of Nashville, TN Becky Ratajczak of Tucson, AZ Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday October 24, 2012 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel. Mathis Conrad will officiate. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery in Hanson. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 and Wednesday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or Hopkins County Food Bank.
