Steven Bill Lorraine

Steven Bill Lorraine, 65 went to be with his Lord at 9:45PM on Thursday, September 12, 2013. He was born on October 23, 1947 in Clarion, Iowa. He attended the Prairie Community High School in Callender, Iowa. He served honorably in the United States Army and was a Vietnam War veteran. He was an avid pool player, golf enthusiast, and a talented photographer. He retired from the Gleaner after 18 years of service. He was preceded in death by his father, Laverne K. “Bill” Lorraine, his brother Danny K. Lorraine, and his first wife, Sharon Inge Lorraine. Survivors include his wife of almost four years, Janice Beals Lorraine, one daughter, Janyna Lorraine Russelburg and son-in-law, Bryan Russelburg; one grandson, Bennett Avery Russelburg, all of Henderson; his mother, Faye and stepfather, Alvin Sollie of Callender, Iowa; one brother, Joel Lorraine and his wife Susan of Luxemburg, Wisconsin; one sister, Darla Anderson of Austin, Texas; one brother-in-law, Morris Beals and his wife Joni, two sisters-in-law, Paulette Butts and her husband Rick, and Debbie Haire and her husband Tony all of Henderson, 11 nephews, 4 nieces and 18 great nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, September 16, 2013 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. The Reverend Keith Griffin will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday and 10:00 AM until service time Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Morris Beals, Tony Haire, Rick Butts, Joel Lorraine, Dakota Floyd and David Spurlin. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Worsham Post #40.
