Sue "Grammy" M. Sandefur

Sue “Grammy” Sandefur, 77, passed away in her home on Wednesday, August 03,2022. Sue was born on September 23, 1944, to her mother, Christine Bumgardner Martin and her father Earl Martin. Her father Earl Martin passed away at a young age of 52. Sue was raised by her mother and 10 other siblings. She loved gardening and owned Audubon Lawn and Garden with her husband, Tommy Sandefur. She also retired from Peabody Coal Company, and then worked at Sights Denim Company, and then to keep busy, opened Robards Country Store. She made many friends and loved to be surrounded by her family, and fur babies Cooper and Pretty Kitty. She is preceded in death by her mother and father; husband, Tommy Sandefur; son, Bruce Reynolds; Grandson, Devin Waddell; 5 brothers, Lamar Martin, Earl Martin, Billy Martin, Charles Martin, and James Earl Martin; 3 sisters, Selma Martin Morgan, Henry Lorene Martin, and Majorie Martin Mc Curdy. She is survived by daughter, Karen Waddell (Randy), son Thomas (Melissa) Sandefur, son Brian (Shannon) Sandefur; Granddaughter, Kara (Jonathon) Hancock; Grandson, Jacob (Shelby) Sandefur, Gracie Sandefur and the love and light in her heart, Great Grandson Keltin Hancock; sister Corinne Steen and family and Helen Young and family, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be on Monday, August 8, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Tomblinson Funeral Home, Henderson Chapel.
