Susan Lynn (Funk) Leslie

Susan Lynn (Funk) Leslie, 63, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2026, at Deaconess Henderson Hospital under the care of St. Anthoy’s Hospice. She was born in Gary, Indiana, on January 21, 1963, to the late James and Bettie (Wagoner) Funk.

Susan spent many years working as a press operator at Scotts Manufacturing. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed collecting Pepsi memorabilia, arrowhead hunting, and cheering on her beloved UK basketball team. Above all, Susan cherished the time she spent with her six grandchildren and treasured the memories they made together.

In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Gregory Dean Leslie; her siblings, Anna Maria Burton, Roger Funk, Lloyd Sampson, Frank Funk, Robert Funk, Eddie Funk, and Gayle Powell.

She is survived by her two sons, Adam Newcomb and Kevin Crum (Amanda); her siblings, Sharon Thomas (Richard), Eula Higginbotham (Avery), Michael Funk, Albert Funk Jr., Jeanne Funk, and Cheryl Cors (James); six beloved grandchildren, including Sadie Newcomb, Zoey Newcomb, and Jaxon Newcomb, along with three other cherished grandchildren who brought much love and happiness into her life; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Advance Baptist Church in Baskett, Kentucky,  with Avery Higginbotham officiating. Visitation will be held the same day from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the church.

Pallbearers will be, Derrick Fambrough, DJ Fambrough, Jeff Owens, Steve Cliff, Erik Duncan, and Bryan Duncan.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Jaxon Newcomb.
