Terrance "Terry" C. Monsen

On Thursday, May 22, 2014, Terrance “Terry” C. Monsen was called to his eternal rest. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be deeply missed and held forever in our hearts, nor will our memories ever fade. Terry was a man of strong faith and devoted to the God he loved and to whom he gave all thanks. He was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Henderson and retired U.S. Air Force Veteran. He leaves behind his cherished wife, Barbara Hayes Monsen, who he shared 58 years of love and marriage, “One in faith, One in Love.” Terry and Barbara raised three children in their love and faith. A son, Randy Monsen of Henderson, daughter Mary Monsen Toerne of Henderson, and daughter Wendy Monsen of Gainesville, Va. Terry found another level of the love in his heart with his grandchildren, Lindsay Mabry, Charly Pate, Sam Monsen, Robert Monsen, Kelley Monsen, and Austin Thomas III. It grew to an even deeper level with the births of his great-grandchildren, Carmine Pate, Camber Pate and Faye Leonard. Visitation will be today, Saturday, May 24th at Trinity Lutheran church, with Christian service at1:00PM where close friend and Pastor Mark Moog will officiate. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery with Military rites conducted by Wright-Patterson Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Lindsay Mabry, Charly Pate, Sam Monsen, Robert Monsen, Kelley Monsen, and Austin Thomas III. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church.
