Thelma Louise Fox Bowden Thelma Louise Fox Bowden age 93 of Madisonville, KY passed away at 12:17 a.m. Wednesday 05-05-10 at the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY. She was born July 10,1916 in Hopkins County, KY to Joe and Sulie Morgan Lyon. She was an LPN and she worked as a nurse at the Hopkins County Hospital, Trover Clinic and the Clinic Convalescent Nursing Home. She retired when she was 72 years old. She was a member of the Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Mortons Gap. KY. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Wesley Fox in 1972, her second husband, Clarence Bowden in 2005, two brothers, Carlos Fox and Rudy Fox and one sister, Vera Riggs. She is survived by three sons Don Fox of Dixon, Buddy Fox of Mortons Gap, Gene Fox of Cummins, GA, one daughter Sandra Kern of Kokomo, IN, one step-daughter Shelia Whitaker of Madisonville, her caregiver Louise Gunn ofNebo, one sister Mary Jo Brown of Dawson Springs, nine grandchildren, Andy Fox, Jon Fox, Cory Kern, Scott Kern, Bobby Parker, Terri Thompson, Dara Osborn, Carolyn Walker, Devi Tharp and Kerri Henson, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday 05-08-10 at the Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Mortons Gap, KY with Bro. Jerry Brewer and Bro. Kenneth Johnson officiating. Her burial will be in Old Salem Cemetery in Mortons Gap, KY. Her visitation will be 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday 05-07-10 at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY and from 10:00 a.m. until the service time at Salem Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday.
