Thomas Brown

Thomas “Tom” Brown of Henderson passed away at the VA Center in Hanson on November 12, 2024. He was born in Montclair , NJ on October 5, 1943 to the late Rolland and Rita Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Brown Palmer of Baldwinsville, New York.



Tom retired from the Henderson Fire Department after 27 years of service. He also served in the Army. He was a member of First Assembly of God, where he taught Sunday School and worked on countless construction projects. He was a graduate of Brescia College.



Tom loved blessing other people but never wanted to be recognized for his kindness. Some of his best times were spent grilling chicken for his coworkers at the Fire Department. He loved all things construction from pouring concrete to his projects at the church as well as building his home. He dearly loved his church, and he will be missed by many.



He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Gina. He is also survived by two sisters, Patricia Bone of Englewood, Florida, and Kathleen (Bruce)Aines of Alburgh, VT and sister in law Yvonne Cordell (Joe) of St. Louis, mother in law Ella Fries (Al) of Henderson as well as nieces and nephews and Gracie, his Shih Tzu whom he dearly loved.



The memorial service will be Saturday, December 7, at First Assembly of God, 2208 US 60 East, Henderson, KY 42420 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:30. Pastors Kevin Stone and Done’ McAlvain will officiate.



Memorial donations can be made to First Assembly of God building fund. Donations can be given on line at hendersonfirst.org. Envelopes will also be available at the memorial service.
