Thomas W. “Tom” Farris, Sr, 69 of Henderson Passed away at 4:26 PM Wednesday November 21, 2012 at Methodist Hospital in Henderson. Tom was born in Lexington, KY on August 3, 1943 to the late Charles and Sarah Virginia (Foster) Farris. He was retired from the Henderson County Detention Center and was a member of Moose Lodge #732 in Henderson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Charles Farris, Jr. and Albert Farris. He is survived by his wife; Lois Sue (Hogston) Farris 2 sons; Thomas Wells Farris, Jr. and wife Eve of Henderson, KY Charles Edward Farris and wife Kim of Rembrandt, IA 4 sisters; Juanita Hisle, Helen Simmons and Irene Mason all of Lexington, KY Patsy Farris of California 4 Grandchildren; Courtney Farris, Zachary Farris, Ashley Renae Farris, and Jacob Wells Farris. Nieces and Nephews also survive. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday November 27, 2012 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Rev. Frank McCalahan will officiate. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery in Henderson. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul.
