Thomas Mitchell "Pops" Hampton, Sr, 75 of Hanson, KY passed away Thursday January 12, 2017 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville,IN. He was born on September 24, 1941 in Todd County, KY to the late William Thomas and Mary (Gibbs) Hampton. Tommy was retired from Carhartt in Hanson and had also been a coal miner. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran and a faithful family man. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister; Carol Carneyhan and 2 brothers; Jerry Hampton and Bobby Joe Hampton. He is survived by his wife of 48 years; Pamela A. Hampton 3 children; Kim (Terry) West of Vine Grove, KY Allison (Brian) Lail of Hanson, KY Mitch (Tracy) Hampton of Hanson, KY 8 Grandchildren; Ricky and Kyle Reinhard of Vine Grove, KY Hunter Carter, Emma and Elly Hampton all of Hanson, KY Trevor, Lincoln and Lance Lail of Madisonville, KY 10 Brothers and Sisters; Linda (Hulett) Webster of Princeton, KY Billy (Wilda Ann) Hampton of Bumpus Mills, TN Ronnie Hampton of Cadiz, KY Donnie (Shelia) Hampton of Cadiz, KY Sue Gail Adams (Deon Fox) of Cadiz, KY Ann (Sammy) Burnam of Cadiz, KY Jimmy (Regina) Hampton of Cadiz, KY Jean Ritcheson of Madisonville, KY Danny (Diane) Hampton of Cadiz, KY Ruth Imbush of Cadiz, KY Sister in law Judy Hampton of Cadiz, KY 2 Aunts and a host of Cousins Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday January 17, 2016 at Providence Rural United Methodist Church in Hanson. Scotty Hampton and Bro. Larry Phaup will officiate. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery with full military rites by Hopkins County Honor Guard. Visitation will be Monday January 16, from 4:00 until 8:00 at the church and Tuesday 9:00 AM until service time at the church. Memorial Contributions may be made to Trooper Island Camp, P. O.
