Thomas Wayne Hancock

Thomas Wayne Hancock, 76, of Henderson passed away Saturday May 16, 2015 at his residence under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. He was born in Geneva, Kentucky on July 18, 1938 to James Cooper and Orpha Frances (Holeman) Hancock. He was a minister at New Hope Baptist Church in Henderson, Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Smith Mills and Northside Baptist Church in Morganfield. He retired from Hydro Conduit in 2000. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters Anna Rowley and JoEtta Gish. Survivors include his wife of 58 years Jada Dee Hancock 3 Daughters: Belinda Valnes and husband Paul of Spokane, Washington Darla Thiel and husband Charles of Spokane, Washington Sandra Stevens and husband Gregory of Boynton Beach, FL 1 Brother: James C. Hancock II of Henderson 1 Sister: Brenda Dunning of Henderson 8 Grandchildren: Jared Valnes, Emily Worthington, Laura Barnnett, Jessica McGrady-Beach, Samantha Thiel, Dane Daughtrey, Hank Daughtrey and Samuel Stevens 4 Great-grandchildren Nieces and nephews Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday May 20, 2015 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Bro. Dan Book and Bro. Brandon Skaggs will officiate. Entombment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday 4-8PM and Wednesday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Hank Daughtrey, Dane Daughtrey, Charles Thiel, Paul Valnes, Greg Stevens and Scotty Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Thompson, Steve Dickerson, Jerry Darnell, Bud Holaday, Jim Williams, James C. Hancock II, James Hancock III, Jim Thomas and Gary Busby. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice or Cash Creek Baptist Church Building Fund.
