Thomas Eugene Hinson, Sr. 63 of Henderson died Tuesday September 25, 2012 at Lucy Smith King Care Center. He was born June 10, 1949 in Cadiz, KY to Hoy Hollis and Opal Jean (Wilson) Hinson. He was a tug boat Captain for Ohio Valley Marine Service. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and he attended Hyland Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Melinda Hinson; 3 brothers: Jimmy Hinson, Johnny Hinson and Larry Hinson. He is survived by his wife Helen Hinson of Henderson 3 children: Thomas Eugene Hinson, Jr. of Henderson Tammy Renae Oakley of Evansville Eddy Hinson of Henderson 3 step children: Frank Chandler of Henderson Patty Huff of Molton, AL Lawanna Rafferty of Henderson 4 sisters: Charlotte Yancey all of Cadiz, KY Dottie Hendricks Connie Hawkins Sandra Carnes 20 grandchildren 1 great grandchild Several nieces and nephews Services will be 1:00 PM Friday September 28 at Tomblinson Funeral Henderson Chapel. Bro. Johnny Hawkins and Pastor Kenny Kidd will officiate Visitation will be 5:00 PM-8:00PM Thursday and 11:00 AM until service time Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Worsham Post #40 Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Eugene Hinson, Eddy Hinson, Ken Thacker, Nick Chandler, Michael Langston, Ricky Springfield and members of the Ohio Valley Marine Service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice or Hyland Baptist Church.
