Thomas Earl Mays

Thomas “Tom” Mays, 74 of Niagara, KY passed away Wednesday Morning August 10, 2011 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born in Henderson County, KY on May 14, 1937 to the late Everett and Dora (Williams) Mays. Tom was a farmer, Navy veteran and a member of the Cash Creek Baptist Church. He loved hunting, driving around with friends, and was a UK fan. Tom was also know for his many cookouts at his home. Most of all he loved spending time with family and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Leroy, Buddy and Terry Mays, 2 step brothers; Bob and Noble Conner and a step sister; Della Stinson. He is survived by his wife of 51 years; Connie Sue (Nunley) Mays. Son and wife; David and Terri Mays of Henderson, KY Grandson; Brandon Mays of Henderson, KY Granddaughter; Natalie Hibbs of Henderson, KY 6 sisters; Jean Key of Bloomfield, KY, Jenny Lewis, Mary Jane Nance, Janet Cardwell, Peggy Bach, and Sharon Ritchie all of Henderson, KY 4 brothers; Buck, Everett Jr., Marvin and Robert Mays all of Henderson, KY Nieces and Nephews Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday August 13, 2011 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Bro. Jerry Pearcy, Bro. Lester McHatton and Bro. Nick Clark will officiate. Burial will follow in Cash Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 until 8:00 and Saturday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Bob Bean, Dwight Emerson, Tommy Jenkins, Hugh Hazelwood, Charles Nunley, and Jackie Leeg. Honorary pallbearers will be Horace Jenkins and Buddy Pearcy.
