Thomas E. “Tommy” Miller Sr., 69, of Salem, KY, formerly of Cairo, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. Tommy was born to Edward “Ed” Miller and Alice May Rushing Miller on March 2, 1952 in Crittenden County, KY. It was at a young age that Tommy discovered his love for farming. He cared for and provided for his family as a proud lifelong farmer. After being forced into early retirement after 30+ years, he finished his tenure at Double A Farms. Tommy also proudly served his country in the United States National Guard. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Reed Miller; three brothers, twins Billy and Roy, and Leon Miller; three sisters, Flora Miller, Donna Miller, and Becky Richabaugh. Tommy leaves behind to cherish his memory, his soulmate and wife of nearly 49 years, Jane Ann Miller; two daughters, Michelle Nelms (Buddy) of Carrsville, KY and Janie Givens (Jeff) of Robards; one son, Thomas “Tommy” Miller Jr. (Crystal) of Smith Mills; five grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; two brothers, Jewell Miller of Francis, KY and Mike Miller of Madisonville; three sisters, Cindy Cornwell (Bobby) of Tilden, Rosetta King (Eddie) of Henderson, and Bonnie Miller of Henderson; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 22 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Salem, KY. Visitation will be at the funeral home 4-8 p.m. Monday, February 21 and 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, February 22.
