Thomas Pirtle

Thomas L. "Tommy" Pirtle passed away August 12, 2026, at Deaconess Henderson Hospital.

Tommy was born in Henderson to the late James and Helen (Gary) Pirtle Sr. He was a member of Lawndale Baptist Church and was a farmer.

Tommy enjoyed scrap metal work, riding his motorcycle and 4-wheeler, and working with his hands. He especially loved his family.

In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by his children, Shelly Hayes and Thomas Lee Pirtle Jr., and his brother, Timothy "Timmy" Pirtle.

Tommy is survived by his loving wife, Teressa Pirtle; his children, Robert "Robby" Pirtle (Meagan) and Shawn Pirtle (Chrystal); his stepchildren Jessica Scranton (AJ), Bradley Samples, Matthew Samples, and Heather Samples (Jay); his brothers, Randall "Randy" Pirtle (Donna) and James "Billy" Pirtle Jr.; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 12:30 PM Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson, with Brother Gary Shoulders officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
