Thomas “Tom” Wayne Monroe, 60, of Robards, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at home.
He was born in Whitehall, IL on March 15, 1962 to James F. Monroe and Lila (Lawson) Daum.
Tom was a heavy equipment operator for the Mosaic Company and was a Son of the American Legion and member of AmVets, where he was in charge of the weekend pool tournaments. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Monroe and brother, Billy Monroe.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Kay Monroe; children, Terica Monroe of Henderson, Kimberly Williams of Dixon, and Adam Williams of Henderson; six grandchildren, Skylar, Levi, Jace, Abigail, Addelyn, and Kendyl; mother, Lila Daum and husband, Dick of Carrollton, IL; and siblings, Lynn Talley (Dennis Cunningham) of Sebree, Greg Scott (Jan Biermann) of IL, Alicia Robinson of IL, and Linda Portwood of IL.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 18 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Pastor Stacey Foster officiating.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until funeral time.
