Thomas "Tommy" Edward Bunch

Thomas "Tommy" Edward Bunch went to be with the Lord at 81 years old on Sunday, September 8, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Doris Bunch; his two daughters, Kim (Louis) Amiet, and Sherri (Brandon) Curcio; his 2 grandchildren, Nathan and Elizabeth Amiet; as well his sisters, Ethel Goldsberry Haire and Joyce Julian. He was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Mundorf, and his brothers, James, Oscar, John, Billy Ray and Robert Bunch. He was one of nine children, son of Mae Dell and Franklin Whiles Bunch.

Tommy was saved and baptized at 9 years old at Dupey Baptist Church in Bluff City, Kentucky. A graduate of Henderson City High School, Tommy went on to serve our nation and received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army in 1964. He later attended First Assembly of God church in Henderson, Kentucky. He and his wonderful bride, Doris Jean Cobb Bunch, have celebrated 58 years of marriage. Tommy retired from Henderson Municipal Power and Light after 30 years of dedicated service.

Visitation will be held at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson, Kentucky on Thursday, September 12 from 12-2 pm. Funeral proceedings will be at 2 pm with Chaplain Bill Bursztynski officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery, and military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Warsham Post 40.
