Thomas “Tommy” Hamilton Sandefur, 76, of Henderson, KY, passed away Friday, October 16, 2020 at Deaconess Gateway in Newburgh, IN. Tommy was born June 2, 1944 in McLean County to the late Eck and Ola (Myles) Sandefur. He worked for CSX Railroad where he was a Track Engineer. His hobbies include bird hunting, fishing, trap shooting and restoring old cars. He was a member of Calhoun Christian Church. In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by a sister, Francis Tomes; brother, Alden Sandefur and grandson, Devin Waddell. Tommy is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sue Sandefur; four children, Thomas F. Sandefur (Melissa) of Kuttawa, James Brian Sandefur (Shannon) of Utica, Karen Waddell (Randy) of Henderson, Bruce Reynolds (Lisa) Henderson; four grandchildren, Gracie Sandefur of Utica, Jacob Sandefur (Shelby) of Louisville, Kara Hancock (Johanthan) of Henderson, TJ Sandefur of Ownsboro and two great grandchildren, Keltin Hancock and Triton Earnst. Graveside services will be Thursday, October 22, 2020, 11:00 AM at Fairmont Cemetery with Bro. Clint Hiser officiating. Tomblinson Funeral Home, Henderson Chapel is entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or New Hope Animal Rescue.
