Thomas E. Watkins

Thomas E. Watkins, 87 of Henderson, KY passed away at 5:50 AM Friday November 11, 2011 at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson. He was born in Beals, KY on August 18, 1924 to the late Alvin and Flossie (Chaney) Watkins. He was a retired tool and die maker for Hahn Inc. and was of the Pentecostal Faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 sons; Joseph and Melvin Watkins and 2 brothers; Milburn and Leo Watkins. He is survived by his wife of 68 years; Juanita (Fray) Watkins Son; William Watkins of Reed, KY Daughters; Velma Daugherty and husband Billy Ray of Reed, KY Mary Alexander and husband Boot of Hebbardsville, KY Vera Mayes and husband Terry of Cairo, KY Brother; Sanford Watkins and wife Sharon of Henderson, KY Sister; Katherine Skaggs of Henderson, KY 13 Grandchildren 24 Great Grandchildren Nieces and Nephews Services will be at 10:00 AM Monday November 14, 2011 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Rev. Mary Wrye will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Reed, KY. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Monday 8:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
