Tina Rae Riggs

Tina Rae (Hancock) Riggs, 65, of Henderson, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Lucy Smith King Care Center. She was born in Henderson on August 12, 1956 to Janette (Hancock) Burris and the late Fred Hancock. She retired from Sitex and was a member of the Women of the Moose, American Legion, president of the Lady Auxiliary Sportsmen Club, and attended Immanuel Baptist Temple. Tina enjoyed movie trivia and her favorite movie was The Wizard of Oz. She collected Coke memorabilia and was an avid UK fan. Tina was a friend to everyone she met. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Don Burris; sister, Audrey Marie Hancock; brother, Grant Lee Hancock; and aunt, Ann Griffin; and several cousins. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Jimmy Riggs; son, Wayne Riggs of Henderson; two grandchildren, Billy Septer and Chris Riggs; one great grandchild, Jacob O’Nan; mother, Janette Burris of Henderson; siblings, Fala Hancock of Lynnville, IN, Trudy Hancock-Willis (David) of Somerville, IN, and stepbrother, Greg Burris; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and two furbabies, Tinker and Pebbles. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Bro. Nathan Whisnant officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 12 from 11 a.m. until funeral time.
