Tommie Dee Caton

Dee Caton, 92, of Henderson passed away Monday April 13, 2015 at 4:10 PM at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. He was born in Poole to Thomas and Flora (Owens) Caton on July 21, 1922. He owned and operated Caton’s T.V. Sales and Service for 62 years retiring in 2012 and was the award winning dealer for Zenith and RCA in the Tri-state. He was also a member of Henderson General Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters Carvie, Hallie and Annie, 6 brothers Fred, Noble, Gordie, Ray, Willie and Roy and 1 step-grandson Benjamin Ogg. Survivors include his wife of 40 years Doris Grace Caton 1 Daughter: Joyce Carmen of Henderson 2 Granddaughters: Janet Stone and husband Arthur of Henderson Jennifer Hawkins of Corinth, MS 2 Great-granddaughters: Amanda Broshears and husband John of Henderson Emma Morton of Corinth, MS 4 Great-great grandchildren: Eva, Isabella, Justise and E.J. all of Henderson 2 Step-daughters: Angela Chesser and husband Marc of Orlando, FL Marilyn Plummer of Summersville, West Virginia 1 Step-son: Gordon Blalock of Williamsburgh, OH 2 Step-granddaughters: Meredith Chesser of Winter Springs, FL Hannah Ellis and husband Mark of Charleston, West Virginia 2 Step-grandsons: Stephen Chesser and wife Kira of Orlando, FL Christopher Chesser of Orlando, FL 2 Step-great-grandchildren: Amber Caton of Henderson Wayne Stone of Henderson 3 Step-great-great-grandchildren: Kaelyn, Landon and Samuel Services will be 12:00 PM Friday April 17, 2015 at Henderson General Baptist Church. Rev. Johnny McCurry, Rev. Ralph Chaney, Rev. Gary Ashby and Rev. Larry Butler will officiate. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole. Visitation will be Thursday 4-8PM at Henderson General Baptist Church and Friday 9:00 AM until service time at the church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Union Hill General Baptist Church. Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel is handling arrangements.
