Tommie "T.O." Oglesby

Tommie “T.O.” Oglesby, 80, of Sebree, KY, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021 under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. Tommie was born November 24, 1940 in Nortonville to the late Herschel and Bessie (Davis) Oglesby.  He retired as an electrician from ALCAN where he served as president of the Union in the early years of his career.  He was a member of the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry in Madisonville and Masonic Lodge #958 in Henderson.    He was a KY Colonel, liked playing cards, camping, mowing, anything outdoors and was one to never meet a stranger.  Above all he loved his family and spoiling his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Tommie was preceded in death by his loving wife, Freda Oglesby; two sisters, Connie Oglesby, Hilda Bullock; grandchild, Lauren Oglesby; two great grandchildren, Lillie and Carmen Cavanaugh and his beloved dog, “Stormy”. Tommie is survived by his two children, Brad Oglesby (Pam) of Henderson, Penny Gibson (Steve) of Henderson; seven grandchildren, Jasemine Eckels (Dylan), Stephany Wright (Justin), Candace Oglesby, Haley Inge (Sterling), Rebecca Oglesby, Lindsay Johnson (Chris), Joe Sutton (Darcy); ten great grandchildren, Tinsley Eckels, Lyndin Eckels, Landon Wright, Mason Wright, Brady McClure, Nora Myers, Emersyn Inge, Abel Inge, Avery Sutton, Beau Sutton; three brothers, Durwood Oglesby (Linda) of Lexington, Ky, Billy Wayne Oglesby (Sarah) of Dawson Springs, Ronnie Dean Oglesby (Louann) of Newburgh, IN; sister, Diane McGuire (Jesse) of Crofton and caregiver, Cathy Gray. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 8, 2021, 2:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home, Sebree  Chapel with Bro. James Palmer officiating.  Burial will follow at Springdale Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 8, 2021, 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
