Tommy Joe Givens Sr.

Tommy Joe Givens Sr, 58 of Little Dixie passed away at his home Friday May 21, 2021. He was born in Henderson to the late Jesse Ray and Lula Jane (Sharp) Givens. Tommy was born a farmer working on the Givens family farm as a young man. As a young adult Tommy was a professional truck driver until beginning a career as a mold die technician for many of the plastic manufacturers in the tri-state area. Tommy returned to his roots and completed his career as a farmer for Powell Farms of Little Dixie, Ky in the last years. Tommy was a fan of all God’s creations; He supported the Dallas Cowboys and was a Ford and Dodge enthusiast but most all Tommy adored his devoted and loving wife Susan, son, grandchildren and family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Rudy Leo Givens. Tommy is survived by his wife of 21 years, Susan Marie Givens; son, Tommy Joe Givens, Jr. and fiancé, Jessica Goad of Newburgh, IN; grandsons, Skylin Givens and Zaden Goad; brother, Bo Givens and his wife Robin Anne of Little Dixie; sister, Cindy Gayle Givens and husband, David Keene of Henderson. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Pallbearers will be Timmy Givens, James Franks, Trevor Lawson, Garrett Tapp, Kaleb Carter and Kameron Givens. Visitation will be 4:00- 8:00 PM, Tuesday and 11:00 AM until funeral services Wednesday at the funeral home. Ronald Powell will officiate will burial to follow at Corydon Cemetery.
