Tony Wayne Howard

Tony Howard, 69 of Henderson passed away Thursday December 4, 2014 at 11:33 PM at his home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. He was born on November 17, 1945 in Henderson, Kentucky. He served in the United State Army in Vietnam from 1968 to 1971. After his time in the Army, Tony was a truck driver for over 40 years. Tony was married to Wilma Davis Howard on October 18, 1991 in Henderson. He was preceded in death by his father Gene Howard and stepmother Pauline Howard, mother Goldie Woodard and stepfather Stanley Woodard and 2 brothers Steve Howard and Ronnie Howard. Tony is survived by his wife of 23 years, Wilma Howard of Henderson 2 Daughters: Toni Lynn Lingerfelt and husband Ernie of Henderson KY Denise Gee and husband Chuck of Henderson KY 3 Step-daughters: Lenora Bond of Henderson KY Donna Biggers and husband Charles of Morganfield, KY Shannon Applegate & husband Dickie of Henderson KY 3 Stepsons: James Burris and wife Kelly of Henderson KY David Burris and companion Kay Dean of Henderson KY Jeff Burris and companion Beth Gibson of Henderson KY 19 Grandchildren 24 Great-grandchildren Nieces and Nephews Services will be 2:00 PM Monday December 8, 2014 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Rev. Ernie Lingerfelt and Rev. David Gentry will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military rites conducted by the American Legion Worsham Post 40 Honor Guard and Burial Detail. Visitation will be Monday 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Wayne Parrish, Jeff Burris, David Burris, Aaron Burris, Bradd Burris and J.D. Scott. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
