Vance "Bubby" Edward Billings

Vance “Bubby” Billings (also known as Rambo throughout his golf course career), of Henderson, went to his heavenly home on October 8, 2023.

Vance was born on February 14, 1969 to Barbara Allen and Carl “Nubby” Billings in Henderson, Kentucky.

Vance was led to Christ in 2004 and Baptized by Brother Gary Cobb. He started working on golf courses when he was 16 and assisted with the building of several courses in the tri-county area as well as working as Assistant Superintendent for several years. Vance also worked as a Henderson County Road Department Employee for many years.

He was an avid sportsman who had a passion for hunting and nature. When he wasn’t hunting, he was watching Nascar or listening to his tunes. He loved music, tinkering with cars and engines and had the ability to fix just about anything.

Vance was preceded in death by his father Carl Nubby Billings, two sisters Donna and Sally and brother-in-law Reggie Lamb.

Survivors include his pride and joy, his daughter, Autumn Marie Billings (Mason Ivie) of Henderson; mother Barbara Rose Williams of Henderson; sisters Angela Anderson of Henderson, Kim Lamb or Henderson; brother John Paul Billings (Shanna), several aunts, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and a multitude of friends.

Memorial services will be 4:00 PM Monday October 16, 2023 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Bro. Gary Cobb officiating.

Visitation will be noon until service time Monday at the funeral home.
