Veda Phelps

Veda (Duncan) Phelps, 90 of Corydon passed away November 14, 2019 at St. Anthony’s Lucy Smith King Care Center. She was born January 27, 1929 in Webster Co. to the late Goebel and Mamie Duncan. Veda was a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist and Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse Henry Phelps; son, Lonnie Phelps; brothers, Raymond Duncan, Charles Duncan and Dorris Duncan. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Fain and her husband Neal of Corydon; brother, Doug Duncan and his wife Ann of Corydon; five grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson. Brother Dane Gray is officating. Visitation will be Monday, 4:00 PM-8:00 PM and Tuesday, 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be Fairmont Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
