Velma Ruth Patterson

Velma Ruth Patterson age 60 of Earlington, Ky passed away Wednesday 3-31-10 at 11:48 a.m. at the Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville, Ky. She was born April 3, 1949 in McClean County, Ky. to Forest and Geneva Riley Burden. She worked as a line worker and in shipping for General Electric Corporation in Madisonville and she was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Earlington, Ky. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by one sister Wilma Burden Williams and three brothers Gene Burden, Mervin Burden and Gerald Burden. She is survived by her husband Donald Patterson of Earlington, Ky.; one daughter Stacey Harris of White Plains, Ky.; two sons Kevin Patterson of Madisonville, Ky. and Brent Tucker of Mayfield, Ky.; two sisters Doris Evans of Calhoun, Ky. and Margie Haney of Whitesville, Ky.; four brothers Jack Burden of Calhoun, Ky., Richard Burden of MerRouge, La., Leslie Burden of Livermore, Ky. and Billy Burden of Owensboro, Ky.; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Earlington, Ky. with Bro. Kim Hudson officiating. Her burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington, Ky. Her visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday 4-2-10 and from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Saturday at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, Ky.
