Verona Dean Hogge

Verona Dean Hogge, 87, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Lucy Smith King Care Center. She was born August 1, 1939, in Dunmor, Kentucky, to the late John and Josie Whitney.

Verona was a homemaker who devoted much of her life to caring for her family. She was a member of DuPey Baptist Church in Bluff City. In her spare time, Verona enjoyed cooking and, most of all, spending time with her family and loved ones.

In addition to her parents, Verona was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Richard Hogge; her son, David Hogge; and her sisters, Sue Markham, Bonnie Adler, Velma Wood, and Doris Travis.

She is survived by her children, Reva Walden and her husband, Michael, Donald Hogge and his wife, Carrie, and Richard Keith Hogge; daughter-in-law, Elaine Hogge; 14 grandchildren., Andrea, Amy (Justin), Michelle, Robert, Matthew, Jessica (Colby), Katherine (Victoria), Wesley (Kelsey), Kim (Zack), Emmett (Candra), Brian, and Olivia (Noah); 16 great-grandchildren, Zachary, Dane, Spencer, Liam, Roro, Penelope, Bentley, Colette, Daisy, Connor, Levi, Simone, Max, Malachi, Aiden, and Renner.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel, with Bro. Vernon Rigsby officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Hogge, Emmett Hogge, Daniel Hogge, Dane Duncan, Brian Hogge, and Colby Duncan.

Family would like to thank Ronnie and Joyce Hogge, Joyce Carver, Donna Risley for everything they’ve done and a special thank you Kelsey Lynn for all of her help.
