Vicki Diane Overton

Vicki Diane Overton, 69 of Henderson, KY passed away peacefully surrounded by love and family Friday January 15, 2021 at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson after a long illness. She was born in Evansville, IN on November 8, 1951 to the late Silas and Irene (Bush) Overton. Vicki graduated from Henderson County High School in 1970 and received an associate degree from Henderson Community College.   She retired from the State of Kentucky after a long career as secretary to circuit Judges Carl Melton and Steve Hayden.  Vicki enjoyed visiting with family and friends, and her favorite hobby was shopping.  She was also a member of Bennett Memorial Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother Kenny Overton.She is survived by sisters Janice S. Brown and Judy Pfeffer both of Henderson, KY, Brothers Jerry Overton (Lou Ann) of White, GA and Wayne Overton (Rita) of Louisville, KY, sister in law Judy Overton of Henderson and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Dr. Scott Watkins, St Anthony’s Hospice, and her home care team Charlotte Pearson, Jama Fredrick, Shanna Gish and Linda Bruce for their excellent care. Funeral Services will be private with Thomas Emerson officiating. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery.
