Vickie Willett

Vickie Willett, 73, of Henderson, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family and under the compassionate care of her family and the support of St. Anthony’s Hospice.

Born and raised in Henderson, Vickie was the daughter of the late Lee Roy Howard and Lois Christine (Frederick) Howard. She will be remembered for her love of life’s simple pleasures: playing on her tablet, enjoying her favorite TV shows, and camping in the great outdoors. Above all, Vickie cherished her family, especially the precious moments spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Vickie was preceded in death by her beloved son, William “Punkin” I. Willett II, and her sisters, Barbara Kurtz and Sandra Ward.

She leaves behind her devoted husband of 54 years, William “Billy” Willett, her daughter, April Gish, and her two grandchildren, Will Gish and Victoria Gish. Vickie was also blessed with four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom will carry her memory close to their hearts.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson, with Brian Tingley officiating. Following the service, Vickie will be laid to rest at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Waverly, Kentucky.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Vickie’s family is comforted in knowing she will be reunited with her loved ones and remembers her as a woman full of love, joy, and warmth.
