Virginia Sue Cottingham

Virginia Sue Cottingham, 82, of Henderson passed away on May 23, 2017 at her home. She was born on July 6, 1934 in Henderson to Robert Quinn Sr. and Virginia (Jones) Quinn. She was a member of Corydon Missionary Baptist Church. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents and husband John Cottingham Jr. in 2000. She is survived by 1 daughter; Vickie Schmelzer and fiancé Steve Hill of Henderson, 1 sister; Lawana Quinn of Henderson, 1 brother; Robert Quinn Jr. of Butner, NC, 2 grandchildren; Christy Lynn and husband Jason of Henderson and Brad Schmelzer and wife Stephanie of Waldorf, MD, 4 great grandchildren; Marissa Lynn, Brennan Lynn, Jacob Schmelzer, and Liam Schmelzer, 1 niece and 1 nephew. Funeral service will be Saturday May 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Rev. Keith Griffin and Rev. Jeff Burke officiating. Pallbearers will be Dereck Sheets, Jason Lynn, Brennan Lynn, Eddie Hayes, Troy Collins, and Chad Basham. Visitation will be held on Friday May 26, 2017 from 4:00PM-8:00PM and Saturday May 27, 2017 9:00AM – service time. Burial will be held at Fairmont Cemetery.
