Virginia Dickerson Demoss

Virginia Dickerson DeMoss, 67, of Madisonville, KY, died at 8:10 PM Tuesday March 10, 2009, in Sacramento, Ky. She was born February 3, 1942 in Madisonville, KY. She was the daughter of the late Everett Dickerson and the late Mary Magdalene Bishop. She married Jerry DeMoss March 15, 1964. She was a member of the New Lakeside Baptist Church in Mortons Gap, KY. She was a homemaker, enjoyed raising mums and gardening. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 step-son Tony Allen Deamoss, 1 brother Gaither Dickerson. She is survived by: husband, Jerry DeMoss of Madisonville, KY, 1 daughter Sherry Gray of Bremen, KY, 1 son Darrell DeMoss of Madisonville, 1 step-son Jeffrey DeMoss of Henderson, KY, 3 sisters, Marona Pettit of Madisonville, KY, Louise Jones of Bremen, KY, Nancy Mason of Earlington, KY, 3 brothers Buddy Dickerson of Blountstown, FL, Scotty Dickerson of Hitchcock, TX, and Jerry Dickerson of Madisonville, KY, 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday March 14, 2009 at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Bro. Darrell Dukes and Rev. Jerry Williams officiating. Visitation with family will be Griday March 13, 2009 from 5:00-9:00 PM and Saturday March 14, 2009 from 9:00 AM until funeral time. Burial will be in Emberry Cemetery in Vandetta, KY. Pallbearers will be James Walton Gray III, Arron Daniel DeMoss, Jason Armour, David Travie Knitht Jr., Johnny Wayne Dickerson, Josh Knight, Michael Owen Coakley.
