Virginia Griffin

Virginia Martin Madden Griffin, 83 of Henderson passed away at St. Anthony's Lucy Smith King Care Center, Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 12:30 AM. She retired from Gibbs Die Casting after 26 years of service. She enjoyed reading, and their many vacation trips out west and Florida. Taking care of her family was her greatest joy in life. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Going to school programs, ballgames, and her favorite, playing Yatzee with them at Kentucky Lake. She was a lifelong member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 732 and a member of the Elks Ladies Auxillary. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Kathryn (Wunderlick) Martin of Henderson, two brothers; Gerald Martin and Jimmy Martin of Henderson, two sisters; Imogene Dewig of Evansville, Indiana and Wanda Smith of Henderson, daughter-in-law; Roseanne Buckman. She is survived by her husband, Thomas E. Griffin of 58 years, her sons; William E. Madden and wife Donna of Little Dixie and Tony A. Griffin of Henderson, one grandson; Geoff Madden and wife Heather of Corydon, three granddaughters; Jennifer D. Madden and Oksanna Griffin both of Henderson, Natasha Crook and husband Brennen of Shreveport, Louisiana, four great grandsons; Austin Madden and Jace Madden of Corydon, Brayden Littrell of Henderson and Charlie Crook of Shreveport, Louisiana, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 12:00, Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Frank Chandler officiating. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 PM-8:00 PM, Monday and 9:00 AM until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Wayne Griffin, Benji Griffin, Terry Dewig, Marty Walters, Henie Sugg and Randy Tasa, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandson and great grandsons.
