Virtie B. (Boaz) Walker

Virtie B (Boaz) Walker Died June 18, 2012 in Marcellus Michigan where she had lived for the past five years with her daughter Lavada Boaz. Born – May 13, 1925 in Mayfield KY Member of Temple Baptist Church of Three Rivers, Michigan. She was previously a member of Airline Baptist Church and Immanuel Baptist Temple both of Henderson. She enjoyed making crafts for her friends, bowling and travelling. Preceded in death by her first husband Rev. B. B. Boaz II of Mayfield and her second husband, Edward Walker of Morganfield, her parents Burnett and Mary Elizabeth Burge, brothers Motty, Vernus and Billy Burge, her daughter Cynthia Mitchell and son-in-law David Hambright. Survivors include daughter Lavada Boaz of Marcellus, Michigan, Brantley Boaz and wife Gina of Henderson, son-in-law Robert Mitchell of Alanson, Michigan, grandchildren Kerece Domerese and husband Patrick Naswell of Fenton, Michigan, LaDena Domerese of Fenton, Michigan, Justin Jones, Ben and Nathan Boaz all of Henderson. Sister Lavada Moyers of Blandchester, Ohio, three great-grandchildren Lennox Naswell, Kennly and Avalee Howe all of Fenton, Michigan, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Pallbearers will be Kerece Domerese, LaDena Domerese, Justin Jones, Ben Boaz, Nathan Boaz, and Andy Doherty. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Tomblinson Funeral Home. Dr. Phillip Basinger and Dr. Bill Patterson will officiate. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetary. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4:00 p.m. on Thursday and until service time on Friday.
