Wanda Lee Almon Hayes Wanda Lee Hayes, 87 of Mortons Gap, passed away 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012, at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of the Faith Missionary Church in Madisonville. She was born July 24, 1924 in Mortons Gap, KY to Emerson C. Almon and Callie Jane Duncan . In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Sherman Ray Hayes in 1991, one son, Sherman Hayes Jr. in 2005, one daughter, Margaret Louise Hayes in 1940 and one sister and two brothers. She is survived by six daughters, Glenda Skaggs and her husband Joe of Manitou, Ky. Mary Watts and her husband Darwin of Maniou, Hilda Rudd of Mortons Gap, Barbara Offutt, and her husband Jimmy of Mortons Gap, Alice Carr and her husband Tommy of Mortons Gap, Donna Malcomson, and her husband David of Campbellsville and one son, Darrell Hayes and his wife Mary Helen of Manitou. She has 25 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Faith Missionary Baptist Church in with Brother Chuck Evans officiating. Her visitation will be 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington and from 9:00 a.m. until the service time at the church. Her burial will be in Old Suthards Cemetery.
