Wanda N. Hicks

Wanda N. Hicks, 71 of Spottsville, KY passed away September 14, 2017 at her residence.  Wanda Hicks was a strong willed woman who took the most pride in her family and friends. She spent 17 years driving a school bus for Henderson County Schools.  She was a farmer’s wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  Her home was always open to anyone who was in need of a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on or just a friend. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family on their beloved houseboat, “Wicked Wanda”.  She had a special bond with her three sisters and her surviving aunt.  She will be loved and missed by all her friends and family, but is reunited with her loving husband, Jimmy Hicks of 45 years. She is survived by 2 children; Christy Cobb and her husband Rob, Bobby Hicks and his wife Paula both of Spottsville, 3 sisters; Shirley Ransom and her husband Frank of Henderson, Betty Turner and her husband Albert of Morganfield, Pat Williams of League City, Texas, 7 grandchildren; Drew Williams and his wife Jessica (Jeb), Lauren Fruit and her husband Alex, Becca Cobb, Mitchell Gentry, Logan Gentry, Remington Hicks, Riley Hicks, 3 great grandchildren and one on the way, several nieces, nephews and cousins.Services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson.  Visitation will be Monday, 4:00 PM-8:00 PM and Tuesday, 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.  Burial will be private.   Bro.
