Wanda Lee Hutcheison

Wanda Lee Hutcheison was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Wanda passed peacefully on December 1, 2023 at the age of 94 in her home surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Wanda loved to be busy. Her favorite activity was spending time in her garden. She loved cooking and baking. There was always something delicious waiting on the counter for all of her family and friends. She was a talented seamstress and sewed many beautiful clothes and quilts for family and friends. Most recently she was the best dog lover on the planet to Missy, her constant companion, and all her dog friends who came to visit.

Wanda was a devoted Baptist parishioner of Immanuel Baptist Temple and worked and served as the church secretary for over 30 years. She loved serving Wednesday night supper, supporting the day care and being an active member of the congregation. Currently, she is a member of Eastview Baptist Church.

Wanda was married to Leonard Hutcheison, Jr. who preceded her in death. Her brothers and sister Don Mobley (Sue), Opal Howard (Charles) and Gene Clabes (Judy) also preceded her in death. Close family members include son, Jeffrey (Lisa) grandchildren Sarah and Maclen. Stepchildren Leonard Hutcheison III, (deceased), granddaughters Jayme Riehl, Kris Hutcheison. Vivian Buckman, grandson Jim Buckman (Jennifer). Tim Hutcheison, grandchildren Melissa Dixon (Josh) Jessica Powell (Darrell) Cody Hutcheison (Whitney) Haley Beck. Jeffrey Neil Hutcheison, grandsons Bradley Hutcheison (Katey) Matthew Hutcheison (Tosha), and 23 great-grandchildren. “In the hearts of those who loved you, you will always be there.”

Funeral services will be held at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson, Kentucky on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 with visitation from 11 AM-1:00 PM, Funeral Service from 1:00 PM-1:30 PM and graveside service from 2:30 PM-3PM.
