Wanda Lee Powell

Wanda Lee Powell, 93, passed away Friday, February 10, 2023, at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center in Newburgh, IN.

Mrs. Powell was born August 22, 1929, in Rosewood, KY to the late Guy and Thelma Strain. She loved the Lord and was a member of the Bennett Memorial United Methodist Church. She loved to sing, read, cook, sew, and working outside in the garden.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her son, Richard R. Walker.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Tommy Powell of Henderson, KY; two children, Barry L. Walker of Princeton, KY, Leica Walker Johnson of Evansville, IN; step son, David G. Powell of Evansville, IN; 8 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Monday, February 13, 2023, 3:00 PM, at Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole, KY with Rev. Dale Carden officiating.
