Wanda May Smith

Wanda May “Granny” Smith, 90 of Henderson passed away at Lucy Smith King Care Center Friday May 31, 2012. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to James and Katherine Martin on March 6, 1922. She was a homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, two brothers, daughter Brenda Griffin and the love of her life her husband R. T. Smith. Survivors include five daughters: Kathy and husband Joe Bentley of Baskett Sheila and husband Richard Basham of Spottsville Sharon and husband Tom Ganno of Henderson Laura and husband Walter Spencer of Henderson Darlene and husband Darrel Cummings of Geneva Son in law: Sterling Griffin One sister: Virginia Griffin of Henderson Beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, family and friends. Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday June 2 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Bro. Larry Butler will officiate. Friends may call from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM today and Saturday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson. Pallbearers will be son in laws. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
