Wanda Faye Urbanek

Wanda Faye Urbanek, 84, of Henderson, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021 at home. She was born in Sterling, Kansas on September 19, 1936 to the late Howard and Dorothy (Dunham) Timbers. She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith. Wanda was an avid tennis player and fan over 40 years. She never met a stranger and was known as loving, giving, and caring to all she encountered. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Urbanek and sister, Shirley Soukup. She is survived by her children, Kim Fink (Marvin Hill) of Spencer County, IN, Kayla Ballard (Robert) of Evansville, and Kristi West (Mark) of Henderson; sister, Lois Urbanek of Lawrence, KS; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and her fur baby, Scout. There will be no visitation or funeral services per Wanda’s request. Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
