Wanda Sue White

Wanda Sue White, beloved mother, grandmother, and devoted servant of the Lord, passed away October 2, 2025.

She was born on August 16, 1948 in Henderson, KY to the late Arthur and Evadean Stone.

A faithful member of Union Hill General Baptist Church, Sue dedicated much of her life to serving others through her church community. She served as church clerk, song leader, and children’s church leader, roles she carried out with a joyful heart and unwavering commitment. Her strong faith and love for the Lord shone brightly in everything she did.

Sue cherished her family above all. She was a constant source of love, support, and encouragement to each of them. Whether in the pews of her church, around the family table, or in everyday moments, she made sure those around her knew they were deeply loved.

She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her beautiful voice lifted in song, and her devotion to both her family and her church. Her legacy of faith and love will live on in the lives of all who were blessed to know her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milton White; sisters, Jenny Stone and Margaret Smith; brothers, Larry Stone and J.T. “Jay” Stone.

She is survived by her two children, Michele Thomson (Tommy) and Stephen White (Maureen); three siblings, Anna Powell (Robert), Art Stone (Janet) and David Stone, Sr. (Grace); sister-in-law, Margie Stone; brother and sister in law, Dickie (Connie) White;  five grandchildren, Jordan White (Megan), Joey Lynn (Annalyse M. Seib), Joshua White (Melanie), Morgan Murray (Joe) and Ben Thomson; one great grandchild, Harper Murray; several nieces and nephews;

Memorial services will be 4:00 pm, Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Union Hill General Baptist Church will Bro. Gary Ashby officiating.

Visitation will be from 2:00- 4:00 PM at the church, October 12.
