Wanda Reed Griffin Yates

Wanda Reed Griffin Yates, 93, of Henderson, KY, passed away on May 2, 2025, at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY.

She was born in Spottsville, KY, on March 26, 1932, to the late Edmond Shane Reed and Mattie Lou Workins Reed.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her first husband, Jesse Lee Griffin; second husband, Jim William Yates; and son, Bruce Allen Griffin.

Wanda is survived by her sons, Kim Steven Griffin (Penny) of Spottsville, KY, Jerry Lee Griffin of Henderson, KY; daughter, Sharon Elizabeth Hagan of Henderson, KY; daughter-in-law, Gayle Griffin of Henderson, KY; sisters, Joann White (Larry) of Chandler, IN, Morris Jean Tuggle of Evansville, IN, Nancy Bradley (Odie) of Henderson, KY, Charlotte Carter of Evansville, IN, and Emily Lancaster of Sebree, KY; brothers, Lawrence Reed (Linda) Spottsville, KY, Tim Reed (Patti) of Henderson, KY and Terry Reed of Henderson, KY. Wanda was very proud and loved her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home, Henderson Chapel, with Ryan Harrington officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, KY.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Nathan Griffin, Scott Reed, Bradley Griffin, Trent Haner, Jacob Blake, and Aidan Downs.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Riverview School in Henderson, KY.
