Wandel H. Byrum

Wandel H. Byrum, 97, of Slaughters, passed away May 16, 2018 at Redbanks Colonial Terrace Sebree.  He was born October 1, 1920 in Webster County to the late Otho Henry and Virginia Ilyene (Church) Byrum.He was a retired farmer, a member of Slaughters Baptist Church, former Webster County School Board member and an avid pool player.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers:  Ralph Byrum and Chester Byrum, grandson Phillip Ray Ashby, and 1 great granddaughter Lily.He is survived by his wife of 77 years: Helen (Ranes) ByrumChildren:  Sherry Pich and husband Jack of Farmington, MO, David Byrum and wife Bonnie of Boonville, IN, Michael Byrum and wife Carol of Greenville, KY, and Sheila Blanford and husband Jimmy of Slaughters, KY11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.Services will be 4:00 PM Sunday May 20, 2018 at Slaughters Baptist Church with Bro.
