"Wavie" Emmick Harley

Wavie Harley, 79 of Henderson passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Methodist Hospital. He was born May 31, 1934 in Reed, KY to Ray Harley and Margaret (Brown) Harley. He was a member of Eastview Baptist Church and he was retired from the City of Henderson Street Dept. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Charlie Harley. He is survived by his wife Irene (Denton) Harley. One daughter: Maggie Schmidt and her husband Doug of Jasper, IN 2 step sons: Danny Long and his wife Paula of Baskett Donald Long of Spottsville 2 sisters: Jean Varble of Henderson Mary Pannell of Kenosha, WI 2 grandchildren: Jessica Klausen and Nick Wright. Step grandson: Daniel Long Foster grandchild: Calab Courtney Nieces and nephews Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday, October 14 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Brother Donnie Risley will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Reed, KY. Friends may call after 2:00 PM Sunday and 10:AM until service time Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Danny Long, Donald “Bully” Long, Danny Dance, Billy Perry, Lester Hutchinson and Will Frisby. Honorary Pallbearers will be Clay Jones and Billy Jones. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to American Heart Association.
