Wendell Roland Ashby, Sr.

Wendell Roland Ashby, Sr., 88 of Sebree, KY passed away September 6, 2018 at Western KY Veterans Center in Hanson. He was born August 17, 1930 in Sebree to the late Milton and Augusta Ashby. Wendell was an U. S. Army Veteran and a member of the Christian Church in Sebree. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers; Frank Ashby, Charles Ashby and Derrell Ashby, one sister; Ethelyn Streets and her husband Harold. He is survived by his wife Diane Ashby of Sebree, five children; Milton Ashby of Florida, Wendell “Ronnie” Ashby, Jr. (Trish) of Mt. Vernon, IL, Maynard Ashby (Kelly) of Jacksonville, Florida, Joshua Ashby of Nashville, TN, and Jonathan Ashby (Ana) of Sebree, 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, 2:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Sebree, KY.  Josh Ashby will officiate.  Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Michael Wilson, Thomas Wilson, Dan Cline, Andy Hart, Bo Kelly, Brent Daniel, Bo Adams and Justice Cahill. Military rites service will be conducted by American Legion Worsham Post #40 Burial Detail.
