Wesley Fay Bennett

Wesley Fay Bennett, 80 of Henderson passed away Friday January 8, 2016 at Methodist Hospital. He was born in Illinois on September 7, 1935 to Bart and Eva Cleone (Parrish) Bennett. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the United Church of the Nazarene. Wesley enjoyed gardening and being outdoors, traveling, woodworking and cooking food to share with his neighbors. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 brother: Nolan Bennett and 4 sisters: Helen Kurtz, Opal Smith, Ima Buckner and Doris Burgess. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Wanda Bennett Nieces and nephews Services will be 11:00 AM Monday January 11, 2016 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Bro. David Simpson will officiate. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole with military rites conducted by the American Legion Worsham Post 40 Honor Guard. Visitation will be Sunday 3-6PM and Monday 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Russell Lemon, Glenn Stone, Danny Blackston, Douglas Powers and Ron Melton.
